The Internship: The Research and Evaluation Intern will help support a federally-funded study of the Science Minors Club program’s summer activities. The intern will accompany Museum staff as they libraries, parks and other locations across the city of Chicago to bring science activities to the public. While at the locations, the intern will collect data by observing interactions between staff and the public and taking detailed notes. They also will help with passing out surveys to the public and the processing and basic analysis of the data. The Internship will last approximately eight, 35-hour weeks from the middle of June to the middle of August. The Intern will work on a collaborative team with other evaluator/researchers, volunteers, interns and consultants. The intern will occasionally assist other team members as a thought partner, preparing materials for data collection, recruitment of guests and other study participants, entering and processing data and basic analysis and interpretation of results.
